Congratulations to Ashton Maize for being recognized as April's 12th-grade Student of the Month. Ashton is the son of Kathy and Richard Maize. Ashton has excelled in his Tech Center Computer class. Last year, he was on a Cyber Security Team for a CyberPatriot Competition where they placed 2nd out of 34 teams in the state. This year, he placed first in the state in Linux Operating System Fundamentals. Ashton will compete at the National BPA competition in May in Chicago. Ashton has been a proud member of the Mayville Band Program for the past 8 years. He plays percussion and this year has been able to help teach the Middle School students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ashton plans on attending a college or trade school for Computer Information Systems in the fall. When asked what he will miss most about high school he said: hanging out with friends, the Tech Center, and Teachers.
