Congratulations to Jacob Mertens for being recognized as the 11th grade Student of the Month for March. Jacob is the son of Matt and Lindsay Mertens. Jacob excels in the classroom and is also a great classmate to those around him. He challenges himself by taking advanced mathematics classes and he is in 3 dual-enrollment classes at the Tech Center. His favorite subject is Mathematics. Outside of school, Jacob stays busy working at Neiman’s Family Market. He also enjoys playing video games and watching sports. Baking and solving a Rubik’s Cube are also hobbies he enjoys. After he graduates high school, Jacob plans on going to college, but he is unsure where or what he is going to major in. Jacob has a good work ethic and because of this, he will be well prepared for his future endeavors. We would also like to thank his parents for the opportunity to work with Jacob, he is hard-working and kind and we are excited to see what his future holds!
